How to make a Ruffle bead bracelet

Cute little bow ribbons, fancy laces, flowing ruffles with a bit of bling is good to make a your outfit ooze femininity. With that in mind, I added a ruffle-y ribbon to my jewelry design. Quite simple, this design is almost viral on pinterest  do-it-yourself community. Tangy orange beads interweaved with navy blue ribbon, just like the LucidMemoirs logo! This is a slight variation form the usual pearl bracelet, finished with silver filigree spacer beads.

…and now, here’s me, being a pretentious book reader. I’m just posing for the bracelet while my husband click a few interesting shots.Ribbon ruffle
Well, Is it just me or, are other people out there? I hardly ever read  books as much and I’m usually never ashamed to admit the fact that books, especially big fat novels are boring! Even the best-sellers. I think this holds good for most jewelry artists, we wouldn’t mind spending 6 straight hours cooped up in a corner with open boxes of beads, tools and messy table but something like reading is often considered taxing.
You can also find this bracelet on Kaajewel eStore.

Gothic inspired accessories

Deep colors,  edgy design, the Victorian touch. Inspired by the timeless gothic culture, these hand-crafted pieces make a unique fashion statement. Classy Goth! I perceive fashion to be a personal choice, something in my zone of comfort.

Black wire wrapping

My latest attempt to include the striking black wire with deep red and pink beads turned out interesting.  I started out sketching these shapes and tried to add beads for a splash of color. I used a wire with higher gauge which makes a bold statement.

The template for sharing this piece of earring is made with polyvore. When I started blogging, it was mostly just about the handmade jewelry but as you can see I like variety and sharing the events in my life as it happens.

Here’s another one… a striking red earring with swirl wire work and a matching black beaded bracelet.

Silver black earrings

This orange crystal bead with tarnished silver loop makes a simple and light weight earring.  Oh, I’m also writing a post about jewelry photography. I realize that there are only a few articles out there on this topic for casual hand-made accessories.

Black beads, short is sweet! Yet another color of chandelier earring. Find rest of my collection on the jewelry gallery. Hope the spring has sprung at your place. 🙂

Go green bracelets- Guest post for Ophelia’s Ear blog

Today I’m writing a guest post for Susanna blog – Ophelia’s Ear. She is crazy about earrings and has a very interesting hobby of collecting them. One a day, 7 days-7 earrings! Isn’t that cool?

Go Green bracelets
Its time the planet blue goes green! Save the earth for our children. Alternative fuel, conserve energy, carbon footprints…Seems like everybody is talking about going green. Where do I start? I do my part by conserving power, water and using recyclable bags on a day-to-day basis. I took this as an inspiration to make these trendy bunch of assorted stretchy bracelet with natural beads like wood, shell and glass.

Chunky beaded necklace

Isn’t it fun to wear a statement jewelry? Necklaces – there are many varieties and I’m a fan of chunky beaded necklaces. They are so much fun to wear and amazing to create too.

The metal pendants are great for choker-style beaded necklaces. Chunky beads or beaded loops pendants would work as a focal too. Its fun to wear them with dresses or cute blouses/tops. Continue reading

Pink…It’s the color of passion

Pink…it’s my new obsession…yeah!

Who doesn’t like the pretty pink pearls wired to sterling silver hoops and chains to make these lovely feminine pieces of jewelry?

This series of  jewelry is made with Swarovski pearl and the crystal adds a shimmer to the moonlight like pearls. The links used in the chain and earrings adds a variety to the collection and gives a playful look, unlike the regular pearl necklaces.
